Top 10 Best-Selling Books Right Now: What Everyone’s Reading
Below are the top ten best-selling books based on my unique analysis of data from major retailers and resources (in alphabetical order):
Broken Country by Clare Leslie Hall: This Reese’s Book Club pick has a bit of something for everyone– historical fiction, romance, courtroom mystery, and family drama. It’s also quick to read and stunningly written. (My rating: โ โ โ โ โ ; Broken Country book review; Broken Country book club questions)
Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green: This nonfiction book explores the global fight against tuberculosis through the personal story of Henry Reider, a young patient in Sierra Leone. Blending history, science, and advocacy, Green highlights the healthcare inequities that make this preventable and curable disease the worldโs deadliest. The book is both a call to action and a humanistic story about how our choices shape the future of public health.
Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry: This popular romance author’s latest release isn’t just a romance; it’s also half “tell-all” in the vein of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Early reviews are mixed. (My rating: โ โ โโโ; read more about it in Emily Henry books in order)
The Housemaid by Freida McFadden: This wildly popular thriller is a quick and twisted love triangle among a married couple and their new housemaid, an ex-con. It ends in death, which is clear from the first page, but it takes you on quite a ride to figure out who the killer is and who they are. It’s a guilty pleasure you can read in one to two sittings on a beach or by the pool. (My rating: โ โ โ โ โ; The Housemaid book review)
Lights Out by Navessa Allen: Trauma nurse Aly fantasizes about masked men and dark desiresโuntil one of them, Josh Hammond, steps out of her screen and into her bedroom. What begins as a steamy, twisted fantasy quickly escalates when a real stalker targets Aly, forcing Josh to become her protector.
The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins: This self-help book has been a huge hit with readers. I read it after Oprah recommended it for learning to let go of things you want to control. And, you know what? I’ve found myself saying “let them” more times than I can count since then. (My rating: โ โ โ โ โ)
The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose: Eleven years after defending her husband Adam in a murder trial, Sarah Morgan has rebuilt her life. Her new marriage falls apart, and Adamโs case is suddenly reopened due to new DNA evidence. As Sarah faces media scrutiny and a vengeful ex, the disappearance of Bobโs one-night stand drags her into a dangerous game of lies and revenge.
Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez: This romance author’s latest release is sadder and darker than usual. However, it’s true to real-life struggles, such as long-distance love, family members with medical issues, financial problems, and so on. This reality check made it live up to my expectations. (My rating: โ โ โ โ โ ; Say You’ll Remember Me book review)
Strangers in Time by David Baldacci: Fourteen-year-old Charlie and fifteen-year-old Molly are two war-weary teens navigating a shattered, post-Blitz London without family or safety. They find refuge and unlikely friendship in a grieving bookseller, Ignatius Oliver, whose bookshop becomes a haven from the chaos. But as secrets surface and danger closes in, the bond theyโve built may be their only chance at survival.
Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins: This is the fifth book in The Hunger Games series, a prequel.
Methodology: Picking the Current Best-Selling Books
Determining which books are best-sellers can be challenging because various retailers and sources use different metrics and often categorize the lists differently. So, what I have done is scoured the following best book lists (of the most popular books right now) to figure out which books were most common to all of these sources:
- Amazon
- Barnes & Noble
- Bookshop.org
- Libro.fm
- New York Times bestseller list
- Publishers Weekly
- Target
- USA Today
NOTES
I ONLY included adult titles, both fiction and nonfiction.
When in doubt, I gave a bit more weight to the list of Publishers Weekly, which is based on the data of NPD BookScan. It covers about 85 percent of trade print books sold in the United States through direct reporting from major retailers.
Conclusion
Based on my unique data analysis, those are the best-selling books right now to help you find your next great read. I keep it updated so you can see exactly what’s hot right now.
To recap, if you’re still struggling to pick just one interesting book to read, Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros topped the most bestseller lists I checked.

Have you read YOURS TRULY by Abby Jimenez? I absolutely loved it!! Probably more so than Happy Place.
Enjoy so many of your recommendations that I think our book preferences align & you would enjoy it. Her last book, PART OF YOUR WORLD is also a favorite.
Yes! I agree — I liked both but I preferred Yours Truly as well. Like you, I love Abby Jiminez’s books. Part of Your World was excellent. I just gave it to my sister and she also loved it! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and recommendations.
