For Him or Her

I’m a huge fan of these bookshelf editions of board games like Scrabble (but there are many more to choose from). They look like book spines when you store them on your shelf!

The ever-popular L.L. Bean Wicked Good slippers are, hands down, the best. They’re warm, comfortable, and last for several years. They are the only slippers my husband and I have worn for over ten years now. (Read my L.L. Bean Wicked Good Slipper Review.)

If he or she prefers socks, I recommend these Bombas gripper slipper socks. They are really warm and prevent slipping!

I love to gift Jiggy puzzles, as seen on Shark Tank, because, upon completion, you can affix glue to hold them together and display them as art.

This Shiatsu back and neck massager is so soothing when you are sore. It heats up and can be used in the car, too. I won’t use anything else!

A Kindle is an amazing gift for a homebody that keeps on giving! They’re great for reading library books, taking notes, etc. Add on these gifts for Kindle readers.

If he or she is a tea drinker, I recommend Harney & Sons hot cinnamon tea, which comes in decaf and regular. It basically tastes like Christmas! Add on a silicone microwaveable popcorn bowl for snack time. We make our own popcorn in this in just a few minutes!

An alarm clock like this Hatch one is such a treat for a homebody. I use mine for ambient lighting, but you can also use sleep sounds, do meditations, and more!

Popular Pick: Readers of The Literary Lifestyle and I love this bookmark light (as does my husband, who stole mine). It does double duty for quiet nighttime reading.

Nothing — and I mean nothing– compares to the ChappyWrap blanket. It’s oversized, soft, extremely warm, and washes well. We have a handful, and we use them every single day. Our cats adore them, too.

A reading valet is a gift that blends two homebody activities: reading and drinking warm beverages.

This mini Espresso maker is extremely small, so it won’t take up a lot of extra counter space. We use ours several times per week for both espressos and espresso martinis. Add on this little milk frother I’ve used for years, which helps you get that coffee shop taste at home.

Unique Gifts For Women

While you can buy a homebody any book, The Happy Homebody is, by title, the best book to give as a gift to her.

A USB candle lighter is a great stocking stuffer for women. Pair it with this Maison Louis Marie No.04 Bois de Balincourt candle, which is my favorite “cozy” scent. The name comes from a family home! The top notes are sandalwood and cedarwood. The mid notes are vetiver, nutmeg, and cinnamon. The base note is amber wood.

While an ice roller is good for puffiness and other skin care, my favorite use is for migraines. I couldn’t live without this soothing tool.

Popular Pick: Readers of The Literary Lifestyle and I adore this Laneige lip mask. It’s so hydrating and offers a subtle pink tint.

If your gift recipient loves a bubble bath as much as I do, then a bath tray is perfect for her to read, drink, and indulge during bathtime. Add on my favorite bath supplies: a Pacha lavender bath bomb (a clean formulation with a relaxing scent) and the cult favorite Necessaire body wash (facial-grade skin care for your body with luxurious scents like Eucalyptus and Sandalwood).

(Read my Necessaire review and get more of my self-care bath ideas.)

Barefoot Dreams cardigans live up to the hype! They are my favorite things to wear at home. They are so soft and cozy with their chenille-like fabric, and they wash well. I have had mine for years.

(Read my Barefoot Dreams cardigan review.)

One of my favorite homebody activities is painting my nails, and Olive & June nail polish lasts the longest. The brand also offers all the tools you need for a salon-quality manicure at home. I haven’t been back to the salon in years.

(Read my Olive & June nail polish review.)

I’m obsessed with pajamas, and the only ones I’ll wear anymore are Nordstrom’s Moonlight Dreams pajamas. They are the most comfortable and long-lasting ones I’ve tried. Tip: They only go on sale a few times per year. I stock up when they do!
